Welcome to 2012 in Cornwall Park.
Let’s hope the next few months brings us some fine weather so we enjoy all the best parts of summer – sunshine and ice cream.
The park has been as busy as ever. Seems people just love visiting and enjoying some time out dining amongst the beauty and then walking through the trees.
Our High Tea is still proving to be a favourite with Hen’s High Tea’s every week. Or maybe it’s just that there is never a better time than now to grab the girls and treat yourself.
We have some exciting news with regard to the High Tea coming up but more on this next time.

$5.00 glass of wine to readers of our emails
I get asked all the time about this and whilst I get many of you telling me that you enjoy the emails, I cannot truly answer this.
So to help me know who you all are come into the restaurant over lunch (bookings advised) and tell any one of my staff that you get the emails and you can have your first glass of wine for $5.00.
Anything off our wine list that is served by the glass for just $5.00.
Now that is a good way to start the New Year.

valentines dinner in the park

Tuesday 14th February

Every year we host a Valentine’s Dinner and we will be doing this again this year.
This is your only time to dine casually in the evening as this space is usually taken up with Private Functions.
We only have one sitting so the table will be yours all night to enjoy!
Valentine’s Dinner  $95 for 6 courses

Complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival
This is a great night and books out quickly, so get in touch with us early to secure your spot and for your special someone.

Chilled watermelon and white balsamic shot

Cream of watercress and roast garlic soup w creme fraiche

Confit of salmon, shaved fennel, broad bean and orange salad w sauce veigre
or
Herb gnocchi, shaved parmesan, roast tomato sauce and basil oil

Strawberry and Asti Sorbet

Pan-fried snapper, fondant potatoes, cockle, watercress, green bean and fresh herb salad w lemon and caper dressing
or
Smoked lamb rump, potato and parmesan gratin, pancetta wrapped green beans w a thyme jus

Hot chocolate tart, vanilla ice cream and raspberry coullis
or
Lemon and lime posset, hazelnut crumble and home-made shortbread

holy moly! ice cream in the park!

This is our new ice cream cart and it is the coolest ice cream vehicle around.

We are stocking the Holy Moly range of ice cream in a cone, on a stick and a new cooool range of yummy flavoured ice blocks.
You will see it on weekend afternoons zooming about the park – especially at the Sunday Concerts that are kindly put on by the Cornwall Park Trust for your enjoyment.

it’s beer we’re stoked to be serving

Not exactly from the wine list but this beer is just fantastic.
If you remember the original Mac’s beer-making family; well this is from the son, Dean (great name that) and he is producing a great range of beers based in Stoke, just on the outskirts of sunny Nelson.
Lourie, our Functions Barman is probably the best salesman for this product in the land. We are stocking the Dark, Lager and the low alcohol but full-flavoured 2 Stoke.
